Math Instruction
Math instruction is so much more than fact drills and worksheets. Math is exciting in Room 18! You can expect these things from our daily math block:
- Whole group lesson: One main math mini-lesson will be taught to all students using the Ready Math curriculum.
- Small group practice: I use the framework of The Daily 3 for math practice and small guided math groups. This allows opportunities for movement, peer interaction, and guided practice throughout the math block. You can find out more about The Daily 3 HERE. During this time, students will meet with me to practice concepts in a small group.
